Commissioned by Andrij Borys Associates to create the January 2025 cover for Communications of the ACM titled “Meta’s Hyperscale Infrastructure.” The approved art concept was to create a high-tech structure representing data centers and connections spanning the globe.
Another great brief with some latitude for experimenting with procedural modeling to develop high-detail geometry to help sell the vast scale.

This commission by Wardour was an excellent brief to create a cover piece to accompany an interview and to be a lead motif for the issue, looking at the theme of a regenerative planet. The central concept was to show different materials in layers hinting at other ecosystems. I was allowed time to experiment and develop something more abstract and evocative for the final piece.

Brief to design and create an animation for Nature around the theme of Ai robotics and tech. 5 second continuous loop. Flicker rate had to be kept low to avoid triggers for epilepsy. Approximately 12 individual looping sequences set within translucent interlocking blocks. The two halves, forming the Ai representing adversarial neural networks. This was a fun brief with a lot of creative freedom.

CGI models were used for the main splash from the food mixer along with traditional Photoshop retouching techniques to create additional elements such as an overflowing sink and burning toast etc.
